Amber Johns serves as our Youth Services Librarian. With a B.A. in English and Creative Writing and a Master's in Library and Information Sciences, it's no surprise that she has a passion for literature. She recently spent two years living, learning, and working on a small, diversified farm. Outside of the library, Amber can be found in her garden or tending to her small flock of sheep. As a native of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Vermont winters suit her just fine. She lives in Cambridge with her husband and two children.
Cari Varner has been a librarian at the Varnum since 2017. Although Cari has a B.S., M.S., M.U.P and is working on her PhD in environmental design, she is no stranger to a library. In undergrad, Cari spent hours in the stacks as a librarian assistant as well as a researcher, and her mother served as a librarian at her local library and went on to lead the digitization of Gannett’s expansive newspaper holdings. Cari enjoys reading contemporary fiction, and any book that provides insight into gardening in Vermont. Cari has lived across the U.S. and abroad, but is happy to finally call Morrisville and the Varnum home.
Christy Liddy is the Director. She has served in rural and municipal libraries in Nebraska and Vermont. Christy brings her eclectic love of literature to the community and is always excited to assist patrons in selecting something new to read. When she isn't at the library, Christy likes to hang out with her dogs, cats, chickens, and goats; travel; and play board games. Despite being a native Texan, she loves the winters in Vermont. Christy lives in Cambridge with her family.
