Senior Conversations w/ VT Dept. of Health

  • Varnum Memorial Library 194 Main Street Jeffersonville, VT 05464 United States (map)

Older Vermonters are more active and vibrant than ever and today 1/3 of Vermonters are 60 and older. Falling is not a normal part of aging and can be prevented. In Vermont, unintentional falls are the leading cause of injury-related death overall, and responsible for the largest number of injury-related hospitalizations and emergency department visits.

Join Valerie Valcour RN, BS, MPH (Vermont Department of Health, Morrisville District, Public Health Nurse II) for this engaging, educational and supportive series intended for our community members who are now 60+ as we discuss ways to holistically support our progression in life. Low pressure, comfortable and flowing are our conversations, and all are welcomed and encouraged to attend!
